$100,000 grant awarded to Hawaii Farm Bureau Foundation

The Hawaii Farm Bureau Foundation will use a $100,000 grant provided in December through the Ulupono Fund at the Hawaii Community Foundation to establish and operate farm-to-food nonprofit programs statewide.

Previous grant funds have already been put to good use through the Hawaii Farm Bureau Foundation’s COVID-19 pandemic response efforts to administer and distribute financial support directly to farmers statewide as well as nonprofit organizations that purchase produce from Hawaii farms. These additional funds aim to continue financially bolstering local food growers and Hawaii’s supply and distribution chain through 2021 by assisting them in providing Hawaii residents with ample fresh, locally grown produce as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
